330 lb Load Capacity — 47% Higher Than the 50cc Class Standard

Most 50cc mopeds in this price range are rated for 225 lbs. The Bali 50 supports up to 330 lbs — a meaningful difference that makes it usable for a wider range of adult riders. This is not a minor spec variation; 105 additional pounds of rated capacity changes who can realistically and safely ride this vehicle.

Larger adult riders who have been excluded by typical 50cc weight limits finally have a street-legal 50cc option that is rated for them.
Triple-Certified EPA + CARB + DOT — Street Legal in All 50 States

Triple-Certified — EPA + CARB + DOT — Street Legal in All 50 States

The Bali 50 holds EPA emission certification, CARB certification from the California Air Resources Board, and DOT approval for road-legal tires and safety equipment. All three together mean legal ridability and registration in every U.S. state — including California, where CARB certification is required and most competing 50cc mopeds at this price are excluded from sale and use.

California residents and riders who may move states get a compliant vehicle without compliance uncertainty.
Front Disc Brake + Large LED Headlight + Turn Signals — Full Safety Package

Front Disc Brake + Large LED Headlight + Turn Signals — Full Safety Package

The Bali 50 comes standard with a hydraulic front disc brake, a large LED headlight for high-visibility riding at night, and factory turn signals front and rear. Disc brakes deliver more consistent stopping power than drum brakes, particularly in wet conditions. The LED headlight consumes less power than halogen and produces a brighter, whiter beam.

Riders get the safety hardware of higher-priced scooters — disc brake, LED lighting, turn signals — standard, not as an upgrade.
Xinba GY6 Engine — The Most Serviceable 50cc Platform in the U.S.

Xinba GY6 Engine — The Most Serviceable 50cc Platform in the U.S.

The Bali 50’s Xinba GY6 49.5cc engine is the most widely deployed scooter engine platform in the United States. The vast majority of motorcycle and small engine mechanics are familiar with GY6 maintenance and repair — riders are not dependent on brand-specific service centers. Belt-drive CVT transmission eliminates clutch complexity entirely. OEM replacement parts are stocked at our U.S. warehouses in California and Texas.

GY6 ownership means practical repairability at virtually any shop, in any market, with no proprietary parts dependency.

Rider Fit Guide

X-PRO Bali 50 Rider Fit Guide
Recommended Age 16 and up (check your local DMV for 50cc moped/scooter license requirements, which vary by state)
Recommended Height 5'0" to 6'2" (152–188 cm) based on 30" seat height
Maximum Weight Capacity 330 lbs (150 kg) — do not exceed
Suitable Riding Environments Urban and suburban streets (speed limits up to 35–40 mph); grocery runs and short neighborhood errands; campus commuting with limited parking; first-time moped riding on quiet residential streets; private roads and leisure riding

The Bali 50 is built for adult urban commuters who want an affordable, triple-certified street-legal moped for daily transportation — including California residents. CVT automatic operation requires only throttle control, making it accessible for first-time riders with no prior experience. The 330 lb load capacity is among the highest in the 50cc class, making it a practical choice for larger adult riders who find most 50cc scooters inadequate.

Also well suited for budget-conscious commuters seeking 100+ mpg fuel efficiency, riders who need a CARB-certified vehicle for California registration, and adults who want a stylish platform available in five colors (Black, Blue, Red, Orange, White).

⚠️ Always wear a properly fitted, DOT-approved helmet and appropriate protective gear. Never exceed the rated load capacity of 330 lbs. Check local DMV for 50cc license and registration requirements before riding on public roads.
Visual fit guide is for reference only. Actual fit may vary based on inseam, footwear, riding posture, and suspension sag. EPA + CARB + DOT certified — street legal in all 50 U.S. states including California.

Description

The X-PRO Bali 50 — Triple-Certified, High-Capacity, Street-Legal Moped

The X-PRO Bali 50 is a 49.5cc gas-powered moped scooter built for riders who want more than the typical 50cc entry-level machine. Three certifications — EPA, CARB, and DOT — mean you can ride and register it in all 50 U.S. states, including California, without any compliance uncertainty. The 330 lb maximum load capacity is the highest in its class, and the Xinba GY6 CVT engine platform is one of the most widely serviced in the country. We back every Bali 50 with U.S.-stocked OEM parts, a 1-year frame warranty, and a team that picks up the phone.

GY6 Engine + CVT Automatic — Reliability You Can Actually Service

The Bali 50 runs a Xinba GY6 49.5cc 4-stroke single-cylinder engine — the most widely deployed scooter engine platform in the U.S. market. Belt-drive CVT transmission makes riding genuinely simple: twist the throttle and the transmission handles everything automatically. No clutch, no gear selection, no prior riding experience required. Electric start is the primary method; kick start operates independently as a backup. We stock OEM Bali 50 components at our warehouses in California and Texas — parts are available before you need them, not sourced after you report a problem.

330 lb Capacity — Built for Riders That Most 50cc Scooters Exclude

The typical 50cc moped in this price range is rated for 225 lbs. The Bali 50 supports up to 330 lbs — a meaningful difference that makes it usable for a wider range of adult riders. Top speed of 40+ mph outpaces most 50cc competitors rated at 31–35 mph. Estimated fuel economy of 100+ miles per gallon and a 5-liter tank give you real range for commuting and errands without frequent stops.

Triple Certification — Street Legal in All 50 States Including California

The Bali 50 carries EPA emission certification, CARB certification from the California Air Resources Board, and DOT approval for road-legal tires and safety equipment. All three together mean legal ridability and registration in every U.S. state — including California, where CARB certification is required and most competing 50cc mopeds at this price are excluded from sale and use. Most U.S. states require only a standard driver’s license to operate a 50cc moped — check your local DMV for specifics.

U.S. Dealer Backing with Real Parts and Real People

Every X-PRO Bali 50 is covered by our Limited Warranty — 1-year frame, 90-day parts — handled by our U.S.-based team. We operate two company-owned warehouses, one in California and one in Texas, with OEM Bali 50 and GY6 platform parts in stock. When you contact us, you reach a team with direct access to your order, our inventory, and our warehouse. We are a licensed U.S. powersports dealer with over 20 years of operating history — not a dropshipper.

Why Buy From Us

The company behind X-PRO has been operating in the U.S. motorcycle and powersports market for over 20 years. We are a licensed U.S. motorcycle dealer, not a dropshipper or a temporary marketplace seller. Our operations include product sourcing, compliance review, warehousing, fulfillment, after-sales support, and a dedicated parts inventory — all managed in-house from the United States.

X-PRO was established in 2018 as a dedicated powersports brand, built on over two decades of hands-on experience in the U.S. motorcycle and powersports market. The product line includes mopeds, scooters, dirt bikes, motorcycles, ATVs, go-karts, and electric powersports vehicles — all sold with full dealer backing.

For some buyers, X-PRO is a practical first bike — a more manageable way to start riding without overcommitting on cost. For others, it is a way to get back into powersports without the higher purchase price and repair anxiety that often come with premium-brand machines. For riders who already own more expensive bikes, X-PRO can be the machine they are more willing to ride often, maintain practically, and use without turning every drop or scratch into a major financial event.

This is what X-PRO is built on: Accessible — a more practical entry point into riding and ownership. Supported — real parts availability and U.S.-based after-sales support. Accountable — dealer-backed operations with local warehousing and direct responsibility.

We operate two company-owned warehouses — one in California and one in Texas. These are not third-party logistics (3PL) facilities; they are staffed and managed by our own team. Every complete unit is backed by a manufacturer warranty. Warranty claims and support requests are handled by our U.S.-based team. We maintain a full replacement parts inventory at our U.S. warehouses — parts are stocked before vehicles are listed, not ordered from overseas after a customer reports an issue.

Warranty
Every X-PRO complete vehicle is covered by a Limited Warranty: Frame — 1-year warranty against structural defects. Parts — 90-day warranty against manufacturing defects (excludes normal wear and tear items such as tires, brake pads, belts, and bulbs). Battery — 90-day warranty. Warranty claims are handled directly by our U.S.-based support team.

Limited Warranty covers manufacturing defects only. Normal wear and tear, damage from accidents, misuse, or unauthorized modifications are not covered.
Assembly & Setup

What’s in the Box

Vehicle body (85% pre-assembled), front wheel (1), front panel (1), handlebar clamp bolts (1 set), rear rack (1), rearview mirrors (2), battery (1), battery cover (1), owner’s manual (1). NOT included: tool kit (basic hand tools required — buyer must supply), helmet (required for riding, sold separately), rear trunk (sold separately; rear rack IS included).

What to Assemble

Front wheel (mount to front fork, align brake disc, tighten axle nut — intermediate) · Front panel (align and secure — basic) · Handlebar clamp bolts (align, tighten — basic) · Rear rack (secure with bolts — basic) · Rearview mirrors ×2 (screw in, adjust angle — basic) · Battery (Red [+] first, then Black [−] — basic) · Battery cover (basic).

Assembly Time

Approximately 45–60 minutes for someone with basic mechanical skills. Professional mechanic assembly is strongly recommended. Tool kit is NOT included — basic hand tools (wrench, screwdriver) must be supplied by the buyer. Two-person assembly advisable for front wheel installation.

Before You Buy

1 · Stay Connected — We Need to Reach You

After your order ships, our team will contact you by phone and email to coordinate delivery. Answer calls from unfamiliar numbers — our team and your carrier may call from numbers you don’t recognize. Check your email daily, including your spam folder, until your vehicle arrives. If we cannot reach you, your order may be returned at your expense.

2 · Shipping & Delivery — LTL Freight

Your vehicle ships via LTL (Less-than-Truckload) freight from our U.S. warehouse. The carrier will contact you to schedule a delivery appointment. Large freight trucks cannot enter narrow roads or tight residential areas. Inspect the vehicle carefully before signing the delivery receipt. If damage is found, note it on the receipt and contact us immediately with photos.

3 · Assembly & Setup — Tool Kit NOT Included

Professional mechanic assembly is strongly recommended. A tool kit is NOT included with this model — basic hand tools (wrench, screwdriver) must be supplied by the buyer. Regardless of who assembles it, tighten all bolts and apply thread-locker (Loctite) before the first ride. Vibration will loosen factory settings during use — this is a required pre-ride step, not a defect.

4 · Engine Maintenance — Change Oil Before First Ride

Change the engine oil before your first ride — factory fill is a break-in oil not suitable for extended use. Skipping this step is the leading cause of engine seizure on new vehicles. Use fresh 87+ octane fuel only. Avoid fuels blended with more than 10% ethanol. Drain fuel for long-term storage to prevent carburetor varnishing.

5 · Real-World Performance

Top speed and fuel economy are measured under optimal conditions. Actual performance varies based on rider weight, terrain type, incline, fuel grade, and ambient temperature. Riders over 250 lbs may experience reduced top speed.

6 · Storage

For storage over 30 days, drain the fuel tank to prevent carburetor varnishing. Store the vehicle indoors in a dry, temperature-stable environment. Disconnect the battery for storage over 60 days. Before returning to service, inspect all bolts, tire pressure, brake function, and battery charge level.

7 · Safety & Rider Requirements

This vehicle is designed for riders age 16 and older. Most U.S. states require only a standard driver’s license — check your local DMV for state-specific licensing and registration requirements. Always wear a properly fitted, approved helmet and full protective gear — helmet is NOT included. Maximum weight capacity is 330 lbs and must not be exceeded. The Bali 50 is EPA, CARB, and DOT certified — street legal in all 50 U.S. states including California.

8 · Break-in Period

We recommend a break-in period for the first 3–5 hours of riding. Avoid sustained full-throttle operation. After break-in, re-inspect and re-tighten all bolts before continuing normal use.

FAQ
Do I need a motorcycle license to ride the X-PRO Bali 50?
In most U.S. states, a 50cc moped requires only a standard driver’s license (Class C or equivalent), not a full motorcycle endorsement. However, licensing laws vary by state — some require a moped-specific permit, and a few require an M1/M2 motorcycle license. Always check with your local DMV before riding on public roads.
What is the top speed of the Bali 50?
The X-PRO Bali 50 reaches 40+ mph under normal conditions. Actual speed depends on rider weight and road grade — riders over 250 lbs may experience reduced top speed. The 40+ mph rating is suitable for city roads and suburban streets with speed limits up to 35–40 mph. Not rated for highway use.
Can I ride this scooter in California?
Yes. The X-PRO Bali 50 is CARB certified, making it legal to purchase, ride, and register in California. This is a meaningful differentiator — most competing 50cc mopeds at this price point are not CARB certified and cannot be sold or used in California. Always confirm registration requirements with your local California DMV.
How difficult is the assembly? How long does it take?
The Bali 50 arrives approximately 85% pre-assembled. Assembly typically takes 45–60 minutes and includes attaching the front wheel (intermediate — align brake caliper), front panel, handlebar clamp, rear rack, rearview mirrors, battery, and battery cover. Basic hand tools are required but NOT included — you must supply your own. Watch the installation video at youtu.be/S_E0U3Ftnqw.
What fuel type does the Bali 50 require?
Use 87-octane regular unleaded gasoline. Ethanol-free preferred; ethanol-blended fuels above E10 can damage the carburetor over time. Drain the fuel tank for storage over 30 days to prevent carburetor varnishing.
What is the fuel economy?
The Bali 50 delivers approximately 100+ miles per gallon (about 2.3L/100km) under typical riding conditions. With a 5-liter (1.32 gallon) tank, you can expect 100+ miles per full tank, making it one of the most fuel-efficient street-legal vehicles available at this price point.
How much weight can the Bali 50 carry?
The X-PRO Bali 50 supports a maximum rider load of 330 lbs (150 kg). This is significantly higher than most competing 50cc scooters, which are typically rated at 225 lbs. Do not exceed the maximum load capacity — doing so creates a safety hazard and voids the warranty.
Can I add a rear trunk to the Bali 50?
The Bali 50 does not include a rear trunk in the standard package. The rear rack is included and a compatible trunk/cargo box can be purchased separately. Contact XPROUSA support for compatible trunk recommendations for this model.
What warranty does the Bali 50 come with?
The X-PRO Bali 50 is covered by our Limited Warranty: 1-year warranty on the frame (structural defects), 90-day warranty on non-wear parts (manufacturing defects), and 90-day battery warranty. Wear items (tires, brake pads, belts, bulbs) and damage from accidents, misuse, or unauthorized modifications are not covered. See xprousa.com/pages/warranty-policy for full terms.
Where can I find replacement parts if something breaks?
We stock OEM replacement parts for the Bali 50 at our U.S. warehouses in California and Texas — available at xprousa.com/collections/parts-by-bikes. The Bali 50 uses the industry-standard GY6 49.5cc engine platform, which also has widespread aftermarket parts availability. Most in-stock parts ship within 1–3 business days from our U.S. warehouses.
What is the seat height and is it suitable for shorter riders?
The seat height is 30 inches (76.2 cm), comfortable for riders from 5’0” to 6’2” (152–188 cm). Riders 5’0” to 5’4” should be able to flat-foot or near-flat-foot comfortably.
How is the Bali 50 delivered?
The X-PRO Bali 50 is delivered via LTL Freight (less-than-truckload) carrier. A delivery appointment will be scheduled with you directly by the carrier. Please ensure someone is available to receive the delivery and inspect the package upon arrival. Note any visible shipping damage on the delivery slip before signing — freight claims require documented notation.
Is this scooter street legal in all 50 states?
Yes. The Bali 50 holds EPA, CARB, and DOT certification. EPA and DOT cover all states for federal emission and road-safety compliance; CARB certification specifically clears it for California registration and use. Most U.S. states require only a standard driver’s license to operate a 50cc moped. Always verify specific registration, licensing, and insurance requirements with your local DMV.
What should I do if the scooter doesn’t start after assembly?
First, confirm the kill switch (red button) is in the ON position — this is the most common cause. Second, verify the fuel petcock valve is open and the fuel tank has fresh 87+ octane gasoline. Third, ensure the battery is properly connected (Red/positive first, then Black/negative). If electric start fails, try the kick start. If problems persist, contact our support team at xprousa.com/pages/support.
Can the Bali 50 carry two riders?
The Bali 50 is designed for single-rider use. While the 330 lb load capacity is the highest in the 50cc class, two-up riding is not recommended for safety reasons and may exceed the maximum load limit depending on combined rider weight. Always comply with local traffic laws regarding passenger riding on moped-class vehicles.
