10-Inch Aluminum Alloy Wheels — Premium Hardware at an Accessible Price

10-Inch Aluminum Alloy Wheels — Premium Hardware at an Accessible Price

The Bora 50 is fitted with 10-inch aluminum alloy rims where most 50cc scooters at this price point use heavier steel wheels. Aluminum alloy construction reduces unsprung weight, improving fuel efficiency and handling feel. The corrosion-resistant finish maintains appearance over time, eliminating the rust risk common with steel rims in wet-weather riding conditions.

Riders get a hardware upgrade typically reserved for higher-priced scooters without paying the premium.
CVT Fully Automatic Transmission — Zero Learning Curve from Day One

CVT Fully Automatic Transmission — Zero Learning Curve from Day One

The Bora 50's continuously variable transmission eliminates all clutch and gear-shifting complexity. Power delivery is smooth and linear from idle to top speed — the transmission manages everything automatically. Electric start provides instant, reliable ignition. Kick start backup ensures you can always get going regardless of battery state.

Complete beginners can ride confidently from the first session with no prior motorcycle or scooter experience.
Front Hydraulic Disc Brake + EPA & DOT Street Certification

Front Hydraulic Disc Brake + EPA & DOT Street Certification

The front hydraulic disc brake delivers consistent, reliable stopping in city traffic and emergency braking scenarios. EPA emission certification and full DOT approval make the Bora 50 street legal for on-road registration in most U.S. states. Most states require only a standard driver's license to operate a 50cc moped — check your local DMV for specifics.

Riders get safety hardware and the legal certification to ride on public roads — not an off-road-only machine.
GY6 49.5cc Engine — Nationwide Service Network Coverage

GY6 49.5cc Engine — Nationwide Service Network Coverage

The Xinba GY6 engine platform is one of the most widely deployed scooter engine systems in the United States. The vast majority of motorcycle and small engine mechanics are familiar with GY6 maintenance, diagnostics, and repair — riders aren't dependent on brand-specific service centers. OEM Bora 50 replacement parts are stocked at our U.S. warehouses in California and Texas.

GY6 ownership means practical repairability in any market with no proprietary parts dependency.

Rider Fit Guide

X-PRO Bora 50 Rider Fit Guide
Recommended Age 16 and up (check your local DMV for 50cc moped/scooter license requirements, which vary by state)
Recommended Height Approx. 4'10" to 6'2" (147–188 cm) based on 29.6" seat height
Maximum Weight Capacity 220 lb (100 kg) and under
Suitable Riding Environments City streets and neighborhood roads (EPA & DOT street legal); university campus and community commuting; suburban leisure rides and weekend errands; daily grocery and errand runs (rear rack and under-seat storage); short-distance trips under 15 miles as a fuel-efficient second vehicle

The Bora 50 is built for adult city commuters and college students who want a practical, fuel-efficient, street-legal moped for daily transportation. CVT automatic operation requires only throttle control — no prior riding experience necessary. It is well suited for riders 5'0" and taller who benefit from the 29.6-inch seat height for comfortable upright positioning.

Also a strong fit for budget-conscious riders who want aluminum alloy wheels and front disc brake hardware at a sub-$900 price point, and for female riders or new scooter owners looking for a low-barrier, easy-to-maneuver street-legal platform.

⚠️ Always wear a properly fitted, DOT-approved helmet and appropriate protective gear. Never exceed the rated load capacity. Check local DMV for 50cc license and registration requirements before riding on public roads.
Visual fit guide is for reference only. Actual fit may vary based on inseam, footwear, riding posture, and suspension sag. This vehicle does not meet CARB emission standards and cannot be sold or used in California.

Description

The X-PRO Bora 50 — Built for Street-Legal Daily Commuting

We designed the X-PRO Bora 50 for riders who want a reliable, street-legal 49.5cc gas moped for daily commuting without overspending on features they don't need. CVT fully automatic transmission means no clutch, no gear shifts — just twist the throttle and go. The Bora 50 delivers the essentials of street-legal moped ownership — EPA and DOT certification, aluminum alloy wheels, front disc brake, and GY6 engine serviceability — in a package that commuters, college students, and casual riders can afford to buy, maintain, and ride every day.

Aluminum Alloy Wheels — A Feature Most Miss at This Price

Most 50cc scooters in this price range come with heavier steel wheels. We fitted the Bora 50 with 10-inch aluminum alloy rims — lighter for better fuel efficiency and handling, corrosion-resistant for lasting durability, and more refined in appearance. The 29.6-inch seat height, 2.6 inches taller than the 27-inch standard on most 50cc competitors, gives medium-to-tall riders (5'0" and up) a more comfortable, upright riding position on city streets and campus routes.

GY6 Engine — Widest Service Coverage of Any 50cc Platform

The Bora 50 runs a Xinba GY6 49.5cc 4-stroke engine, one of the most widely deployed scooter engine platforms in the United States. Mechanics nationwide are familiar with GY6 maintenance and repair. Parts are available through the GY6 ecosystem, and we stock OEM Bora 50 components at our warehouses in California and Texas — ready to ship when you need them. The CDI ignition, PD19J carburetor, and belt final drive are well-documented across the service community.

What the Bora 50 Is — and Is Not

The Bora 50 is a street-registered, EPA and DOT certified moped designed for city streets, neighborhood roads, and campus commuting. It is not an off-road vehicle. Maximum load capacity is 220 lbs. This vehicle does not meet California Air Resources Board (CARB) emission standards and is not for sale or use in the state of California.

U.S. Dealer Backing with Real Parts Availability

Every X-PRO Bora 50 is backed by our manufacturer warranty — 1-year frame coverage, 90-day parts warranty — handled by our U.S.-based team. We operate two company-owned warehouses in California and Texas with OEM Bora 50 and GY6 parts in stock. When you need service, you reach a team with direct access to your order, our inventory, and our warehouse. We are not a dropshipper or temporary marketplace seller.

Why Buy From Us

The company behind X-Pro has been operating in the U.S. motorcycle and powersports market for over 20 years. We are a licensed U.S. motorcycle dealer, not a dropshipper or a temporary marketplace seller. Our operations include product sourcing, compliance review, warehousing, fulfillment, after-sales support, and a dedicated parts inventory — all managed in-house from the United States.

X-Pro was established in 2018 as a dedicated powersports brand, built on over two decades of hands-on experience in the U.S. motorcycle and powersports market. The product line includes mopeds, scooters, dirt bikes, motorcycles, ATVs, go-karts, and electric powersports vehicles — all sold with full dealer backing.

For some buyers, X-Pro is a practical first bike — a more manageable way to start riding without overcommitting on cost. For others, it is a way to get back into powersports without the higher purchase price and repair anxiety that often come with premium-brand machines. For riders who already own more expensive bikes, X-Pro can be the machine they are more willing to ride often, maintain practically, and use without turning every drop or scratch into a major financial event.

This is what X-Pro is built on: Accessible — a more practical entry point into riding and ownership. Supported — real parts availability and U.S.-based after-sales support. Accountable — dealer-backed operations with local warehousing and direct responsibility.

We operate two company-owned warehouses — one in California and one in Texas. These are not third-party logistics (3PL) facilities; they are staffed and managed by our own team. Every complete unit is backed by a manufacturer warranty. Warranty claims and support requests are handled by our U.S.-based team. We maintain a full replacement parts inventory at our U.S. warehouses — parts are stocked before vehicles are listed, not ordered from overseas after a customer reports an issue.

Warranty
Every X-Pro complete vehicle is covered by a Limited Warranty: Frame — 1-year warranty against structural defects. Parts — 90-day warranty against manufacturing defects (excludes normal wear and tear items such as tires, brake pads, and batteries). Warranty claims are handled directly by our U.S.-based support team.

Limited Warranty covers manufacturing defects only. Normal wear and tear, damage from accidents, misuse, or unauthorized modifications are not covered.

Before You Buy

1 · Stay Connected — We Need to Reach You

After your order ships, our team will contact you by phone and email to coordinate delivery. Answer calls from unfamiliar numbers — our team and your carrier may call from numbers you don't recognize. Check your email daily, including your spam folder, until your vehicle arrives. Without a valid, reachable contact number, your carrier cannot complete delivery. If we cannot reach you, your order may be returned at your expense.

2 · Shipping & Delivery — LTL Freight

Your vehicle ships via LTL (Less-than-Truckload) freight from our U.S. warehouse. The carrier will contact you to schedule a delivery appointment — make sure your contact information is current. Large freight trucks cannot enter narrow roads or tight residential areas. You must meet the driver at an accessible point, or arrange terminal pickup if needed. Inspect the vehicle carefully before signing the delivery receipt. If damage is found, note it on the receipt and contact us immediately with photos.

3 · Assembly & Setup

Professional mechanic assembly is highly recommended. Improper DIY assembly voids safety guarantees and can lead to mechanical failure — incorrect assembly is one of the leading causes of early issues with new vehicles. Regardless of who assembles it, you must tighten all bolts and apply thread-locker (Loctite) before the first ride. Vibration will loosen factory settings during use, causing parts to fall off or break. This is a required pre-ride step, not a defect.

4 · Engine Maintenance — Change Oil Before First Ride

Change the engine oil before your first ride — factory fill is a break-in oil not suitable for extended use. Skipping this step is the leading cause of engine seizure on new vehicles. Use fresh 87+ octane fuel only. Do not use high-pressure washers near engine or electrical components. Drain fuel for long-term storage. Store in a dry area.

5 · Real-World Performance

Top speed and power output are measured under optimal lab conditions. Actual performance varies based on rider weight, terrain type, incline, fuel grade, and ambient temperature. Do not expect lab-rated results in all real-world riding conditions.

6 · Storage

For long-term storage (30 days or more), drain the fuel tank before storing to prevent carburetor varnishing. Store the vehicle indoors in a dry, temperature-stable environment. Cover the vehicle to protect it from dust. Before returning to service after extended storage, inspect all bolts, tire pressure, brake function, and battery charge level. Reconnect the battery and prime the carburetor before attempting to start.

7 · Safety & Rider Requirements

This vehicle is designed for riders age 16 and older. Check your local DMV for 50cc moped/scooter license and registration requirements — most U.S. states require only a standard driver's license. Always wear a properly fitted, approved helmet and full protective gear — helmet is not included. Maximum weight capacity must not be exceeded (220 lbs). This vehicle is EPA and DOT certified for street use in most U.S. states. This vehicle does not meet California Air Resources Board (CARB) emission standards and is not for sale or use in the state of California.

8 · Break-in Period

We recommend a break-in period for the first 3–5 hours of riding. During this period, avoid sustained full-throttle operation and allow the engine and drivetrain components to seat properly. Use lower throttle settings during break-in. After break-in, re-inspect and re-tighten all bolts. A properly completed break-in reduces early wear and extends the vehicle's service life.

Support Center & Resources
FAQ
What does the warranty cover, and what is excluded?
The X-PRO Bora 50 is covered by a Limited Warranty: 1-year frame warranty against structural defects, and 90-day parts warranty against manufacturing defects. Normal wear and tear items — tires, brake pads, belts, and bulbs — are not covered. Damage from accidents, misuse, or unauthorized modifications is excluded. Our U.S.-based team handles all warranty claims directly. Visit xprousa.com/pages/warranty-policy for the full terms.
How do I submit a warranty claim or request support?
Contact our U.S.-based support team at xprousa.com/pages/contact-us or through xprousa.com/pages/support. Our team has direct access to your order records, our parts inventory, and warehouse operations to resolve warranty requests and support issues efficiently.
Can I get replacement parts, and how quickly do they ship?
Yes. We stock OEM Bora 50 parts and GY6 platform components at our U.S. warehouses in California and Texas. Parts are pre-stocked before vehicles are listed — not ordered from overseas after you report an issue. Most parts ship within 1–3 business days. Browse available parts at xprousa.com/collections/parts-by-bikes.
What should I do if my vehicle arrives damaged?
Inspect the packaging and the vehicle before signing the freight delivery receipt. If you find damage, note it specifically on the delivery receipt before signing and take photos immediately. Contact our team at xprousa.com/pages/contact-us with photos of the damage within 24 hours of delivery. Claims filed without documented delivery receipt notation may not be eligible for carrier freight claims.
Is this vehicle street legal?
The X-PRO Bora 50 is EPA certified and DOT approved, making it street legal for registration and on-road use in most U.S. states. Street legality depends on your state and local laws — most states require only a standard driver's license to operate a 50cc moped. Check your local DMV for specific 50cc license, registration, and insurance requirements. This vehicle is not for sale or use in California (does not meet CARB standards).
Does the vehicle come assembled, or do I need to assemble it?
The Bora 50 arrives approximately 85% pre-assembled. You will need to install: front wheel, front panel, front fender, handlebar clamp bolts, rear rack, rearview mirrors, kickstand, muffler heat shield, and battery. Assembly takes approximately 45–60 minutes for someone with basic mechanical skills. Professional mechanic assembly is recommended. Watch the official installation video at youtube.com/watch?v=1ap-MTajxBs.
Do I need to change the oil before the first ride?
Yes — change the engine oil before your first ride. The factory-fill oil is a break-in lubricant not suitable for extended use. Skipping this step is one of the leading causes of early engine problems on new gas-powered vehicles. Use a quality 4-stroke scooter oil as specified in the owner's manual.
What type of fuel does this vehicle require?
The X-PRO Bora 50 requires 87 octane or higher fresh gasoline. Do not use stale fuel or fuel blended with more than 10% ethanol (E10 max). For storage exceeding 30 days, drain the fuel tank to prevent carburetor varnishing.
How do I prepare the vehicle for long-term storage?
For storage over 30 days: drain the fuel tank and run the engine until it stops to clear the carburetor. Store indoors in a dry, stable-temperature environment. Cover the vehicle to protect from dust. Disconnect the battery if storing for more than 60 days. Before riding after extended storage, inspect all bolts, tire pressure, brakes, and charge the battery.
Is there a break-in period, and what do I need to do during it?
Yes. We recommend a break-in period of 3–5 hours of riding at reduced throttle. Avoid sustained full-throttle operation during this period to allow the engine and drivetrain components to seat properly. Use lower throttle settings during break-in. After the break-in period, re-tighten all bolts before continuing normal use.
How will you contact me after my order ships?
Our team and the freight carrier will contact you by phone and email to coordinate delivery. Answer calls from unfamiliar numbers — our logistics team may call from numbers you don't recognize. Check your email daily, including spam, until the vehicle arrives. If we cannot reach you within the delivery window, the shipment may be returned at your expense.
Do I need to sign for delivery, and what if I miss it?
Yes, LTL freight delivery requires an adult signature. The carrier will schedule a delivery appointment — you must be available or arrange an accessible delivery location for the freight truck. If delivery attempts fail and the vehicle is returned, you are responsible for return freight costs. Contact us before your scheduled delivery if you need to reschedule.
What happens if you can't reach me during delivery?
If our team or the carrier cannot reach you during the scheduled delivery window, the vehicle may be held at a freight terminal or returned to our warehouse. Customers are responsible for redelivery fees or return freight charges in this situation. Keep your contact number and email current and check both regularly after your order ships.
Can I assemble it myself, or do I need a professional mechanic?
You can attempt assembly with basic mechanical skills — the installation video at youtube.com/watch?v=1ap-MTajxBs covers each step. However, professional mechanic assembly is strongly recommended. Improper assembly — particularly front wheel installation and brake alignment — can create safety risks. Regardless of who assembles it, apply thread-locker (Loctite) to all bolts before the first ride.
What age is this vehicle recommended for, and is supervision required?
The X-PRO Bora 50 is recommended for riders age 16 and older. Most U.S. states allow a 50cc moped to be operated by anyone 16+ with a standard driver's license, but regulations vary — verify your state's requirements with your local DMV. Adult supervision is not required for riders 18 and over; riders aged 16–17 should ride in accordance with local laws.
