I Got the base model Xpro Templar 250cc, and I have to say I absolutely love it. Its an ideal 1st motorcycle for about a 1000 reasons. You left the lights/signal on when you parked it last and now the battery is dead? No worries, just kick start it. Your friend got a hole in their radiator on the trail and now they have limp back home and buy new crap? No worries, yours is air cooled. no radiator to even get a leak. ...etc. there are so many reasons this bike rocks.

The bike has 19HP but only weighs ~250lbs fully gassed and with oil. So it feels like a ~300+lb bike with 30HP. It feels real good, boi. Wheelies all day, ripping all day, Donuts all day.

Mine got about 65mpg stock condition (I'm 205lbs), so its great commuter motorcycle. Ride your motorcycle all Saturday for fun for about $5 in gas. that feels good.

Its an old school single cylinder, air cooled, naturally aspirated, dual ignition, AC, motorcycle with 11.8 inches of suspension travel and its street legal. That means its simple enough that any knucklehead can work on it when it breaks (all motorcycles break), but you can still take it to work in the morning, beat up a trail on the way home, and if there is an issue, likely turning a wrench will solve it.

Also, there is a MASSIVE online support system for this bike. People have fully documented every single nut and bolt and torq spec on the entire bike, and mapped a series of mod plans, if you're so inclined.

Cons: Chain it comes with is cheap and wont retain lube. Upgrade to a 520 Oring chain ~$45-$55. Doesn't come with bark busters Upgrade ~$25. Turn signals breakoff the moment they hit ground. they break like its their job Upgrade~$16 4xpack. Clutch lever kind of stiff/difficult to pull unless you legit lube the cable and keep it lubed. Front suspension is non-adjustable, rear suspension only adjustable for preload (but it feels good. I just like to adjust it). PE28 carb it comes with is 100% fine, but not easily cleaned or adjusted. New nibbi PE28 is only ~$65, and will really open this thing up and is easy to install/clean/adjust. The engine will fully accept a PE30 if you really want to really give it a few more HP. I did so, and was getting accidental wheelies and all that, but mpg dropped to low 50s so went back to a PE28. The seat feels like a piece of wood with a yoga mat stappled to it. Seat is secured with a single bolt + wedge system, which is safe but annoying to take seat off to access things. The stock battery sucks, seems to last about ~2 years so get your kickstart foot ready or head to O'Reilly's to upgrade for ~$30. Its got a 300 mile Break in period which is long and annoying, bike shakes like paint shaker when you first get it. smoothes right out tho after break in. Manual Recommends oil change before FIRST ENGINE START, then at 300miles, then at 1000 miles, then every 1000 miles from then onward which is annoying. but fine and cheap since only takes 1 $6 quart of motorcycle oil. small stock components like throttle assembly clamp are cast metal, so over tightening can result in breakage. luckily the parts that break due to this are *extremely cheap and xpro will also replace them free if you email.

Notes: wheels, tires, and misc parts all seem to be industry standard sizes and fitment, so the bike is extremely easy to upgrade/repair/mod etc. Universal parts fit it cleanly. Break rotars ARE proprietary so if you want bolt on new break rotors you need to order from xpro. but, universal break rotors will fit, its just that you will need to buy an additional adapter for the speedometer sensor which was integrated into the stock rotor. its a pain. just buy their stupid break rotor its fine and you only need one every 10+ thousand miles and its $40.

I have had mine 4+ years, crashed it close to 100 times, I ride it like it owes me money and cant pay, I paint it every year for fun, drive it to work, drive it deep woods like 50+ miles from any roads, 4500+ off road miles, modded the crap out of it, love it.

The bikes a great bike for the money makes a good woods bike/beginner bike if you are over 200 pounds or plan on doing higher speeds in the dirt go with the templar x. The x has a longer wheelbase and longer front forks it's a night and day difference between the two bikes. If you buy go with xpro they are the cheapest I can find when you include shipping costs and they are pretty fast delivering the bike and replacement parts.

So far so good. Everything seems to be decent quality especially for the price. Xpro customer service is great as well.

My twilight completely ripped out when driving at and shorted my starter, but other than that it’s good.

My standard Templar arrived 3 days after purchase, missing a few small parts. I contacted xpro by email about the parts and they sent them no questions asked in short order. Very satisfied with xprousa. I would buy from them again in the future.

This bike is a great deal for a brand new one, since used bikes in my area are very pricey. It's not a top 4 brand, but it's a decent Chinese bike with some minor flaws. It's a big 250 bike that can handle my weight and height well. I have so much fun riding it, and I got it street legal in PA. I love it.
