Oil Cooled Engine — The Upgrade Most 140–150cc Competitors Skip
The Storm DLX 150 runs a Zongshen 145cc single-cylinder 4-stroke oil-cooled engine producing 6.8 kW at 7500 rpm. Oil cooling circulates engine oil through a dedicated cooling circuit, regulating operating temperature during extended sessions and warmer weather. This addresses the primary failure mode of air-cooled engines in this displacement class. Most competing 140–150cc dirt bikes at this price use conventional air cooling. The Storm DLX 150 does not.
Inverted Hydraulic Forks + Dual Hydraulic Disc Brakes — Hardware Normally Found on More Expensive Machines
The Storm DLX 150 uses inverted Φ45×Φ48 hydraulic forks (780mm) at the front — stiffer, lighter, and more resistant to flex under impact than conventional telescopic forks. Braking is matched to that standard: 220mm dual-piston caliper at the front, 190mm hydraulic disc at the rear. When the trail turns without warning or you need to stop on descent, the hardware responds. Most competing bikes at this price use conventional telescopic forks and single-piston calipers.
4-Speed Manual + Electric/Kick Start + 19"/16" Tires Built for Adult Riders
The 4-speed manual clutch transmission (4-UP pattern) with wet multi-plate clutch gives you full gear control on climbs, descents, and technical terrain. Electric start handles daily ignition; the independent kick-start backup ensures you can always start, even with a drained 12V battery. The 19-inch front and 16-inch rear tires deliver 12.6 inches of ground clearance — meaningfully more than the 17"/14" wheel setups common on lower-priced competitors.
Full Lighting Package: Headlight, Tail Light, Turn Signals, Horn — Standard Equipment, Not an Add-On
Most competing 140–150cc dirt bikes in this price range arrive with no lights or minimal single-bulb front lighting. The Storm DLX 150 ships with a full front headlight, tail light, left and right turn signals, and horn — all factory installed. Ride into dusk on your backyard property, farm, or private trail without stopping early because visibility drops.
Rider Fit Guide
| Recommended Age | 13 years and up. Riders under 18 must be supervised by a parent or guardian at all times. |
|---|---|
| Recommended Height | 5'9" – 6'0" (175–183 cm) based on 35" seat height. Riders 5'4" and taller can reach the ground confidently at stops. |
| Maximum Weight Capacity | 209 lb (95 kg) — do not exceed |
| Suitable Riding Environments | Private land, farms, off-road trails, motocross parks, designated off-road areas. Off-road use only — not street legal. |
The Storm DLX 150 is built for teen and adult riders who want a full-size off-road dirt bike with oil-cooled engine durability, inverted fork precision, and dual hydraulic disc brake stopping power in the 145cc class. The 35-inch seat height and 19/16-inch tire sizing place this firmly in adult and experienced teen territory — not scaled-down youth equipment. The 4-speed manual clutch transmission requires foundational riding skills; this bike is not appropriate for riders with zero prior riding experience.
Also a strong fit for experienced riders upgrading from smaller 110–125cc youth bikes, and for adult riders who want a capable off-road machine that handles a full afternoon of trail riding without heat-related issues common in air-cooled engines at this displacement.

Description
The X-PRO Storm DLX 150 — Built for Teen and Adult Off-Road Riders Ready for a Real Upgrade
We designed the X-PRO Storm DLX 150 for teen and adult off-road riders who are ready to move beyond entry-level dirt bikes and want meaningful hardware upgrades — oil-cooled engine durability, inverted hydraulic fork precision, and dual hydraulic disc brake stopping power — without crossing into the $2,000+ premium segment. The Storm DLX 150 runs a Zongshen 145cc single-cylinder 4-stroke oil-cooled engine through a 4-speed manual clutch transmission, with electric start as the primary system and an independent kick start as backup. It is EPA certified for off-road use in 48 U.S. states. The full lighting package — headlight, tail light, turn signals, and horn — extends riding time into dusk and low-light conditions that most competing 140–150cc bikes at this price simply cannot support.
The “DLX” Designation Means Specific Hardware Upgrades
The “DLX” designation means specific hardware upgrades over the base Storm 150, not just cosmetic differences. The oil-cooled engine uses circulating oil to regulate operating temperature during extended sessions and warmer weather — addressing the leading failure mode of air-cooled engines in this displacement class. Most competing 140–150cc dirt bikes at this price use conventional air cooling; the Storm DLX 150 does not.
Inverted Forks + Dual Disc Brakes + Perimeter Frame
The inverted hydraulic forks (Φ45×Φ48, 780mm travel) are stiffer and lighter than conventional telescopic forks, maintaining control under heavy braking and landing loads that flex standard fork legs. Front braking is handled by a 220mm dual-piston caliper — more stopping area and more progressive feel than single-piston alternatives. The rear hydraulic 190mm disc completes a fully hydraulic braking system front and rear. The perimeter cradle-type steel frame adds structural rigidity under aggressive load cycles without the weight penalty of heavier conventional designs.
Full-Size Wheel Sizing for Real Off-Road Capability
Wheel sizing matters for real off-road capability. The 19-inch front and 16-inch rear tires deliver 12.6 inches of ground clearance — notably more than the 17"/14" wheel setups found on lower-priced competitors. The 35-inch seat height and 76.9-inch overall length place this squarely in adult and serious teen territory, not scaled-down youth equipment. Maximum load capacity is 209 lb.
EPA Certified — Off-Road Use Only — Important: NOT CARB Certified
The Storm DLX 150 is EPA certified for off-road use. IMPORTANT: This vehicle is NOT CARB certified and cannot be legally sold, titled, registered, or operated in California. This is an off-road-only vehicle — it is not street legal and cannot be registered for public road use in any U.S. state. Riders under 18 must be supervised by a parent or guardian at all times. Always wear a properly fitted, approved helmet and full protective gear.

Why Buy From Us
The company behind X-Pro has been operating in the U.S. motorcycle and powersports market for over 20 years. We are a licensed U.S. motorcycle dealer, not a dropshipper or a temporary marketplace seller. Our operations include product sourcing, compliance review, warehousing, fulfillment, after-sales support, and a dedicated parts inventory — all managed in-house from the United States.
X-Pro was established in 2018 as a dedicated powersports brand, built on over two decades of hands-on experience in the U.S. motorcycle and powersports market. The product line includes dirt bikes, mopeds, scooters, motorcycles, ATVs, go-karts, and electric powersports vehicles — all sold with full dealer backing.
For some buyers, X-Pro is a practical first off-road bike — a more manageable way to start trail riding without overcommitting on cost. For others, it is a way to get back into powersports without the higher purchase price and repair anxiety that often come with premium-brand machines. For riders who already own more expensive bikes, X-Pro can be the machine they are more willing to ride hard, maintain practically, and use without turning every drop or scratch into a major financial event.
This is what X-Pro is built on: Accessible — a more practical entry point into riding and ownership. Supported — real parts availability and U.S.-based after-sales support. Accountable — dealer-backed operations with local warehousing and direct responsibility.
We operate two company-owned warehouses — one in California and one in Texas. These are not third-party logistics (3PL) facilities; they are staffed and managed by our own team. Every complete unit is backed by a manufacturer warranty. Warranty claims and support requests are handled by our U.S.-based team. We maintain a full replacement parts inventory at our U.S. warehouses — parts are stocked before vehicles are listed, not ordered from overseas after a customer reports an issue.

Assembly & Setup
Assembly Video
Official assembly video available on YouTube — search “DB-K016 Storm DLX 150 assembly” for step-by-step installation instructions.
What's in the Box
Vehicle body (85% pre-assembled), front wheel, handlebar clamp, front fender, number plate, rear shock absorber, battery, owner's manual. Tool kit NOT included — standard hand tools required. Helmet not included (required for riding, sold separately).
What to Assemble
Front wheel (mount to fork, align brake caliper, tighten axle nut), handlebar clamp, front fender, number plate, rear shock absorber, and battery. Apply thread-locker (Loctite) to all bolts before first ride — vibration will loosen factory settings during use. This is a required pre-ride step, not a defect.
Assembly Time
Assembly takes approximately 45–60 minutes for someone with basic mechanical skills. Professional mechanic assembly is strongly recommended. Improper assembly — particularly front wheel installation and brake alignment — voids safety guarantees and is one of the leading causes of early mechanical issues with new vehicles.
Before You Buy
1 · Stay Connected — We Need to Reach You
After your order ships, our team will contact you by phone and email to coordinate delivery. Answer calls from unfamiliar numbers — our team and your carrier may call from numbers you don't recognize. Check your email daily, including your spam folder, until your vehicle arrives. Without a valid, reachable contact number, your carrier cannot complete delivery. If we cannot reach you, your order may be returned at your expense.
2 · Shipping & Delivery — LTL Freight
Your vehicle ships via LTL (Less-than-Truckload) freight from our U.S. warehouse. The carrier will contact you to schedule a delivery appointment — make sure your contact information is current. Large freight trucks cannot enter narrow roads or tight residential areas. You must meet the driver at an accessible point, or arrange terminal pickup if needed. Inspect the vehicle carefully before signing the delivery receipt. If damage is found, note it on the receipt and contact us within 24 hours with photos.
3 · Assembly & Setup
Professional mechanic assembly is highly recommended. Improper DIY assembly voids safety guarantees and can lead to mechanical failure — incorrect assembly is one of the leading causes of early issues with new vehicles. Regardless of who assembles it, you must tighten all bolts and apply thread-locker (Loctite) before the first ride. Vibration will loosen factory settings during use, causing parts to fall off or break. This is a required pre-ride step, not a defect. Tool kit is NOT included with this model — standard hand tools required.
4 · Engine Maintenance — Gas Models
Change the engine oil before your first ride — factory fill is a break-in oil not suitable for extended use. Skipping this step is the leading cause of engine seizure on new vehicles. Use fresh 87+ octane fuel only. Do not use high-pressure washers near engine or electrical components. Drain fuel for long-term storage. Store in a dry area.
5 · Real-World Performance
Top speed and power output are measured under optimal lab conditions. Actual performance varies based on rider weight, terrain type, road conditions, and ambient temperature. Fuel quality also affects performance — always use 87+ octane fresh gasoline. Riders above 180 lb may notice a reduction in top speed on climbs. Do not expect maximum rated performance in all real-world riding conditions.
6 · Storage
For long-term storage (30 days or more), drain the fuel tank and run the carburetor dry — do not store with old fuel as it will gum the carburetor and jets. Disconnect the 12V starter battery if storing for more than 60 days to prevent discharge. Store the vehicle indoors in a dry, temperature-stable environment, covered to protect from dust. Before returning to service after extended storage, inspect all bolts, tire pressure, brake function, and battery charge level.
7 · Safety & Rider Requirements
This vehicle is designed for riders age 13 and older. Riders under 18 must be supervised by a parent or guardian at all times when operating this vehicle. The 4-speed manual clutch transmission requires foundational riding skills — this dirt bike is not appropriate for riders with zero prior riding experience. Always wear a properly fitted, approved helmet and appropriate full protective gear — helmet is not included. Maximum load capacity is 209 lb — do not exceed. IMPORTANT: This vehicle is NOT CARB certified and cannot be legally sold, titled, registered, or operated in California. This vehicle is for off-road use only and is not street legal — it cannot be operated on public roads in any U.S. state.
8 · Break-in Period
We recommend a break-in period for the first 3–5 hours of riding. During this period, avoid sustained full-throttle operation and vary your speed to allow the engine, clutch, and drivetrain components to seat properly. After break-in, perform an oil change and re-inspect and re-tighten all bolts. A properly completed break-in reduces early wear and extends the vehicle's service life.
